Public Transportation

SEAT (Southeast Area Transit District) offers two types of transportation from the College to downtown New London. The College, SEAT, and New London city officials are discussing how students can ride the public transportation system with the cost covered by the College. The discussions also include possibly expanding hours for the Smart Ride service, including on Sundays. Further information will be available later in the summer. 

  • Fixed Route Bus Service from the College’s Williams Street entrance to the New London  Train Station

    • Weekdays: an hourly bus from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

    • Saturdays: a bus every two hours from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

    • Currently, there is no service Sundays 

    • Service will be free until Nov. 30, then at a rate of $1.75 per ride

  • New London Smart Ride service is a door-to-door on-demand transportation service

    • Service is available Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    • Currently, there is no service Sundays

    • Service is free until July 1 (pilot period), then at a rate to be determined 

Parking

The Manwaring is connected via a pedestrian bridge to a private parking garage. Students can arrange to pay a monthly fee to the garage owner for dedicated parking spaces. The monthly fee for the parking garage is not known at this time. More information on the monthly parking fee will be shared as soon as possible.
